I’m passionate about exploration through movement and music in my Som∂lchemy Movement classes. Facilitating these gatherings reinforces my belief that we can experience a sense of wholeness, dynamic ease, relaxation and joyfulness when we move and dance together. Our movement community has fun enjoying a mix of forms and music for a playful, grounded, expressive, embodied and effervescent movement class!

Som∂lchemy provides for safe and effective exercise fused with a hearty dose of fun. It is typically done barefooted and is designed to increase our awareness of a mind-body connection, develop our knowledge and “body literacy” and can be a catalyst for change.

I love your class. The only way I can describe it is “JOYFUL”. It’s such a lovely way to move.

What affected me most was how beautiful I found all the other people in the class around me. Nia allowed me to appreciate the way of not only my body, but those around me too. It amazed me how easy Nia made it to view the people around me to be neither superior or inferior as dancers or movers in general. I admired rather than envied the movement of my peers. By the end of the year, I perceived the entirety of the class as moving exactly as they should, in a way that was... true to their bodies and to their spirits, and thus beautiful and completely natural.

Great class today. You’re experience and intuition around movement and pace was really nice. Thanks for creating space for people to be true to themselves too, because it makes it safer to be free and also allow for real healing and joy!
